Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

My client is currently implementing an Asset Management Program across the companys global portfolio. The AM Program has been designed to meet the requirements of ISO 55000 and is expected to confer long term competitive advantage in this highly competitive sector.

The company is now looking to recruit an Asset Management Specialist to assist in the global roll-out, and requires someone who has a sound understanding of both PAS 55 and the new ISO standard. The individual should have experience of asset management policy and strategy development, and be capable of undertaking structured asset management maturity assessments.With a sound understanding of management systems, processes and procedures, the individual must be capable of working with terminal staff to implement system and performance improvement projects in line with the AM Program strategy.

In addition, the company requires another Asset Management Specialist but with a focus on Reliability Engineering to assist in the development of asset reliability procedures, viewed as the cornerstone of the AM Program. The Reliability Engineer must be capable of working with terminal staff to design and implement reliability processes to improve inherent availability, streamline maintenance tasks and ultimately achieve significant maintenance related cost savings. The individual should also understand and contribute to improving data integrity and maintenance system development.

This position reports to Director of Global Engineering and the main purpose of the role is lead, manage and support regional and terminal organisations with respect to the companies Asset Management program but with specific subject matter expertise and focus around the following activities:

Asset Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM),
Predictive Maintenance (PdM)
Failure Mode Cause & Effect Analysis (FMCEA)
Asset Risk and
Life Cycle Costing and Management Principles

This role shall oversee development, training, implementation and project management of all reliability focused projects, as mentioned above, in line with the companies Asset Management Strategy and Business Unit requirements.

The role shall also provide appropriate assistance during the preparation of technical specifications, design review and commissioning; which is applicable to new and existing assets at the Business Unit.

Additional responsibility will include continual development of equipment technical specifications and reliability methodologies within the group. The function requires the ability to lead, direct and manage company strategies, growth and development of all Asset reliability solutions and their related technologies.

In addition, this shall include, but not be limited to, the provision of support to the implementation of Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS), equipment to EAMS/TOS integration (Dashboard), on board equipment / asset diagnostics and system integration (Ext), monitoring & telemetry and any appropriate integration to other systems and applications.

Key accountabilities will include:

Trend, monitor and advise, regarding asset maintenance and reliability of Group wide Asset Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Make recommendations and ensure alignment of Asset Management strategies in order to maintain asset related maintenance and reliability functions are at desired levels.
Liaise with internal customers and application partners to provide cost effective solutions that meet the standards and requirements of companies Business Units.
Design and governance of all asset related maintenance and reliability operational documents for global practices standardization and the asset management program.
Design and implement in line with appropriate Business Unit (BU) objectives with respect to asset maintenance and reliability function, including financial effectiveness, efficiency and optimized financial equipment replacement in line with better practices on Life Cycle Asset Costing & Management.
Assist and collaborate with Asset Management Centre of Excellence asset management programs to provide input on technical solutions where applicable and as appropriate.
In conjunction with company Institute ensure continuous development of the appropriate curriculum in relation to Reliability in Asset Management (or similar as required) in order to provide the necessary training to global business community, to support BU efficiency needs.
Systematically define, design develop, monitor and refine BU Asset Maintenance Plans that include:
- Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
- Effective utilization of predictive and or non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems/risks.
- Implementation of Asset Information Strategy and required Asset related solutions and applications
Provide input to BU Risk Management Plans that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks, that could adversely impact business unit operations.
Act as the contract owner of master agreements with application vendors (if applicable) and additionally, in conjunction with the corporate procurement dept., manage the tender of new and/or major upgrades of asset / engineering solutions, applications

Requirements

Auditor skills
Experience with ISO standards
Willing to travel
Specialisation in mechanical and / or electronic discipline (maintenance, repair, design engineering) Masters level.
Project Management (PMP Certification Desired)
Experience with the design and implementation of Container Terminal, Asset related Reliability Programs
Management experience with respect to the latest computerised Asset / Engineering maintenance and reliability systems and applications in a container, bulk and general terminal environment.
Knowledge in container terminal industry business process, asset reliability, maintenance and repair, systems, finance, integrated technologies, methods and standards.
