The RoleThe Role Assist in developing the annual risk management and assurance plan. Assist in the implementation of control and risk self-assessment. Assist in the identification and evaluation of risk areas for the development of the risk management and assurance plan. Assist in the review and analysis of business processes. Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues and recommendations, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing relevant information, evaluating evidence, documenting business processes and procedures, and completing audit documentation. Communicate the results of audits via written reports and oral presentations. Pursues professional development opportunities, including internal and external training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with staff. Perform related work as assigned by the risk and assurance manager. |
RequirementsRequirements Knowledge of applying internal auditing principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices. Knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the IIA Code of Ethics. Ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions. Strong skills in effective verbal and written communications, including interpersonal and active listening skills, and skill in presenting findings and recommendations. Negotiation and problem solving skills. Skills in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries and analyses. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with the internal audit team, management and staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment. |
