Job description / Role
Reporting to the Design Manager the roles is to support the management and coordination of all engineering design during the life of the programme.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaison with the design support team and Design Coordinators to manage and co-ordinate the engineering design for the particular projects involved across all phases of work in the design process
- Participating in value engineering reviews
- Auditing compliance against standards, policies, procedures and best practises for engineering on the Programme
- Monitoring compliance against the approvals requirements, including regulatory authorities, for the Programme
- Participating in the process of design reviews and implementation of independent design checks, constructability reviews and value engineering;
- Liaison and co-ordination between the Designers in the development of engineering work packages
- Ensuring that Health, Safety, Environment and Security requirements are properly considered and included in all stages of the design process
- Confirming that necessary approvals are obtained from certification bodies
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years design and project management experience
- Undergraduate degree
- Knowledge of engineering aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- User of MS Office
- Preferably previous experience of projects in the Middle East
