Position Summary:
- Within the mission, vision and values of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), participates in the strategic planning and operational management of the assigned hospital/PHC.
- Ensures the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of assigned clinical and support departments.
- Operates in five primary domains of activity: leading, collaborating, integrating, facilitating, and evaluating

Principal Accountabilities
- Provides leadership, direction, and decision making support for departments and employees, all directed toward high quality of care and service.
- Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
- In collaboration with Department Chairs, identifies fiscal requirements of assigned departments, reviews budgetary recommendations, and monitors the expenditure of budgeted funds.
- Promotes, facilitates, and supports an integrated approach to patient care.
- Oversees various Human Resource functions including, but not limited to, hiring, merit recommendations, promotions, and transfers.
- Communicates and represents opinions, policies, concerns and needs of the assigned areas.
- Oversees design and implementation of processes for quality improvement activities, staff development,and performance review systems.
- Ensures coordination of support services to deliver customer centric services.
- Assists in establishing and developing policies and procedures for the assigned areas of responsibility and ensuring compliance with JCI standards.
- Provides leadership support in risk management (legal, regulatory, clinical) issues.
- Exhibits ability to react to and manage change
- Participates in committees, as assigned.
- Undertakes additional tasks as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in health care/health management, nursing, business administration, or related health care field
- Preferred: Advance degree in health management (Masters level)
- Minimum 3-5 years progressive administration and leadership responsibility in a comprehensive tertiary healthcare facility; Working knowledge of Performance Improvement; Clinical, Fiscal, and Human Resources Managerial experience; Ability to plan strategically and implement new processes and programs through data analysis and cost effective interactions.

Required Certification or Licensure or Registration:
- Certification and licensure as required by the discipline

Language Skills:
- English Advance, Arabic Basic

Computer Skills:
- Intermediate, Proficient in the use of email and the Internet for research purposes.
- Also experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
