The Role

The Role

Role Purpose:

To facilitate and administer the implementation of the company’s performance management process across Omantel and to support the development and implementation of performance management policies and procedures. To track performers’ levels, produce related statistics and reports, and provide input of recommendations for the company to address performance levels

Key Accountabilities:

1. Assists Functional team

• Assists with development and implements a communication plan for the performance management process across all levels for each cycle

2. Provides internal consultancy on performance management issues

• Point of contact and provides ongoing coaching and support to line managers and addresses any performance management questions or concerns
• Supports line managers through the objective setting process to ensure individual, team and departmental objectives are aligned to corporate objectives
• Follows up with line managers to ensure meet submission deadline
• Point of contact for employees on any questions related to performance management and rewards

3. Delivers training on performance management

• Develops and delivers workshops to managers and employees (preferably in both Arabic & English)
• Provides input in development of performance related reward structures and incentive schemes

4. Reports on progress in performance management

• Collates results from performance management process and produces management reports
• Gathers and collates feedback for improvement
• Works with the Career Development team to identify high performing individuals

5. Miscellaneous responsibilities

• Provides inputs to the budget for the team
• Provides input into setting departmental targets and objectives
• Works towards becoming a high quality internal service provider ensuring that all performance management requirements are being met




Knowledge / Skills

• Have good oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English
• Exposure to area of Human Resources
• Some knowledge of performance management and rewards
• Good computer skills
• Good presentation skills
• Be able to interact and consult effectively with management and employees
• Effective self-management and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal, team work and communication skills
• Result-oriented skills
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Very good organizing and planning skills

Education /Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business Administration or relevant subject


Should have at least 3-4 years of relevant work experience
