Assistant Financial Analyst - Al Futtaim Auto Centres

Al-Futtaim is regarded as a pioneer in the Gulf region's Automotive industry and encompasses every aspect of the Automotive business; from passenger and commercial vehicles and construction equipment sales and service, to used car sales and rental and leasing.

Al Futtaim Auto Center (ALAC) is part of the Al Futtaim's Automotive Division. ALAC has six divisions comprising of Body Centers - Toyota & Lexus within UAE, Fast Repair, Customs & Classics, Auto Equip, Tyre Zone and Fastfit. ALAC offers end to end solutions in aftersales for both business to business & retail customers.We are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Financial Analyst to join the Corporate office of Al Futtaim Auto Centres located in Dubai.

The main purpose of the role is assist and support the main Finance function in terms of reporting and ensuring all company procedures and policies are in place and adhered to.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
* Prepare monthly management reports for Board pack.
* Support the BUFM in the preparation of manpower planning for all divisions.
* Complete analysis of financial results versus budget / plans and variance analysis.
* Develop and maintain capital budget.
* Provide analytical support to the BUFM in evaluating Divisional pricing strategies.
* Support and review the procurement process / analysis and control.
* Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
* Co-ordinate and support Automotive Finance Shared Service (AFSS) team in GL review and accounting related issues.
* Monitor expenditures and income, related to budgets, to assure availability of funds.
* Propose and carry out any remedial action necessary to rectify abnormal variances on budget line items.
* Cost Optimisation - Maintain the expenses within budget / cut-off with strict monitoring.
* Review all the company processes in all UAE locations and recommend and document robust process.
* Ensure the process on systematic billing and accounting is followed in all overseas locations.
* Advise and support BUFM / AFSS and business units in system and process development for new initiatives and existing process improvements
* Strict adherence of corporate policies which have financial impact (CAPEX, Travel, Loans & Advance etc.)
* To support and liaise extensively with the Finance Shared Services function
* To assess financial risks and ensure these are eliminated in the best possible way.
* Prepare and develop meaningful management information, reports and analysis, and keep the BUFM and top management posted on important findings.
* Assist the BUFM Projects Manager on any special projects / expansion projects.

Requirements

Minimum Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience in finance preferably within an automotive sector.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
* Bachelor of Commerce or Diploma in Accounting Financial Management.
* Any additional Accounting qualification is a plus.
