Assistant General Manager - Commercial - Commercial and Planning Services - CFC - AFGRE - Cairo, Egypt

We are seeking to hire an Assistant General Manager - Commercial whom will support the General Manager Commercial in the leadership of the Commercial, Planning, Cost and Budget for construction projects, and non-development Centralised Procurement Team.

The role ensures timely and effective management of the services by the team across all the Cairo Festival City Development and Operation side of the business.

This individual has to have full experience and expertise of budget management, commercial management, contract management, planning, procurement and consultant management, with the ability to innovate and lead a team.

This role involves full coordination with all other CFC teams such as (City Management / Mall Management / Developments/ Legal / Finance / IT/ Marketing), plus an array of outside stakeholders and vendors (ranges from Suppliers to Consultants and Contractors).

This role involves ensuring that the CFC process/procedures are followed and developed; guaranteeing that best practice is attained by the team at all times. Equally the candidate is responsible for coaching, mentoring, training all of the team on a continuous basis.

The role will involve trouble shooting of various issues and managing implementation of appropriate solutions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction or Quantity Surveying, with a Masters Degree in Law or Business Administration. Ideally member of a professional institute such as, however not limited to; (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) / Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIARB). Advance knowledge of construction process, real estate process, procurement, procedures, managing construction, cost and administering contracts gained through formal training or work experience.
- 15-20 years of experience in similar position in Commercial/Contracts Management role (Contractors / Clients) in real estate development or construction sectors.

Job-Specific Skills:
A highly energetic and intelligent professional person with strong business, analytical, negotiation and communication skills. This individual has to demonstrate a can-do attitude not a blame one. This person will have to stand back from situations emotive contractual issues and form their own opinion as oppose to following the herd. This candidate must have in-depth expert knowledge of contract management/administration and is an authority on contract related issues. In addition must have advance financial and budget management skills. Proficient in all MS Office IT applications, SAP, Cost / Budgeting packages, Primavera and advance command of spoken and written English language.

Behavioural Competencies:
Exceptional leadership skills, strong team player, sensitive to people (emotional intelligence) with strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
