Job description / Role
Due to an expansion plan my client is now looking for a Senior Sales Manager/Assistant General Manager
For their Freight Shipping organization
Reporting to the owner and chairman this role is an excellent opportunity to lead the business in regards to sales and contribute towards growth of the business,
Travelling will be required to US and Europe
Complete management of the sales team
Leading from the front in regards to business development, client management and account management
Attending client visits with the sales team
Dealing with any issues in regards to clients
Budget management of the sales team
Operations management
Implementation of change
Implementation of process
Training of the sales team
Recruitment of new colleagues
Management reporting to the Owner
Presenting to large clients, overseas and locally
Strategic business management
Requirements
Candidates must currently be as follows:
Currently senior manager, business development manager or assistant general manager in a shipping company in the UAE
Experience of working for a local organization
Strategic management experience
Extensive contacts within the shipping industry
Excellent communication skills
Corporate client management experience
P&L and budget management experience
10 years plus shipping experience at management level
Ideally degree qualified
Specific shipping freight logistics experience
