The RoleThe RoleEstablish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales Manage and develop direct reporting Managers Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets Liaise with other functional/departmental managers in the Operations division and with the AGM / Finance and Administration so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary operational development techniques and methods and provide suitable interpretation to the Holding directors, and the affiliate managers and staff within the organization Ensuring all corporate operations strategies and plans are aligned, reviewed and successfully implemented - taking remedial action where necessary Building relationships between the operations and support divisions and ensuring the business units receive adequate operational support Providing support and assistance to the GM on corporate operations issues where required Communicates with the GM to ensure he remains fully informed of all significant operating issues Acting, as required or in the absence of the GM, as the chief spokesperson for the organization Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in co-optation with the executive team in the Holding Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care. Assess and approves the development and implementation of the short- and long-range staffing plans based on productivity objectives and forecasted volume requirements Controls the daily balancing of labor availability and volume requirements throughout the facility Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain an effective Operations team Partnering with HR, to develop, implement, and measure effectiveness of employee training programs Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented and observed Oversees quality and inventory control Regularly consult with directors in the Holding to prepare and execute company goals, guidelines, and operations Directing and motivating subordinate managers to achieve agreed targets Managing and motivating all divisional employees |
RequirementsRequirementsEducation: University degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), MBA is a plus Experience & knowledge: 8 years experience in the field of High Tec 4 of which ought to be at managerial level Excellent knowledge of the High Tec Products Fluency in written/spoken Arabic & English (French is an asset). Computer literacy: MS Windows Applications (Essential: Excel Spreadsheets, PowerPoint) Core competencies /skills: Knowledge of printing and publishing, methods, and techniques Ability to foster a cooperative work environment Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments (Managerial skills) Skill in budget preparation Ability to create, manages, and maintains P&L Statements/ Budgets Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Knowledge of cost analysis techniques Ability to analyze and solve problems Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements Strategic planning and resource management skills Strong leadership and motivational ability Ability of working with increasingly complex production operations Excellent persuasive and negotiations skills |
