Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit an Assistant Legal Counsel to their MENA team to provide advice on legal aspects of the firms activities and to prepare legal documents for the firm, as required.

Reporting to the Legal Counsel; this role is responsible for the following:

Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all applicable laws and protecting the legal rights of the corporation from abuse by others.
Advise the organization on their legal rights and obligations.
Draft, review and negotiate contractual documentation (including documentation in connection with litigation) and research work related to various legal issues surfacing from time to time.
Customize, update and simplify the structure for all corporation legal documentation and processes.
Provide assistance in the negotiation of transactions requiring the external law counsels attention and involvement.
Handle and coordinate most legal issues concerning the firms bureaus and broadcast centres (including but not limited to HR issues, commercial contracts, company incorporations, etc.).
Participate in most investigation committees by giving detailed explanations and recommendations supported by the legal interventions to support decision makers in taking the best course of action.

Requirements

The attributes we seek for suitably qualified candidates comprise:

Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University with a minimum of 3 years professional experience from a law firm, as a legal counsel or comparable.
Candidates with experience the broadcasting or media industry will be highly regarded.
Exceptional communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience in the MENA region is desirable.
