The RoleThe RoleObjective of the role: 1. Maintaining proper controls and compliance within the invoicing process of GSC Egypt, timely issuance of invoices and ensuring efficiency in the billing process 2. Accountable for Accounts Receivable monitoring, accounting and controls 3. Debt monitoring, dispute management and recovery 4. Preparation of MI statistics which includes aging analysis, invoicing and receipts for MR pack 5. Ad hoc reporting and analysis Job Description: • Timely and accurate reporting for all related returns on invoices, Statistics, VAT, aging, MI schedules etc • Liaison with BPs & compliance with Commercial terms • Ensure timely collections trade debtors. This includes dispute management. • Ensure accurate and timely issuance of invoices and ensuring completeness of information within invoices • Safeguarding, maintenance and monitoring of Trade Debtors. • Assist in intercompany confirmation for Services Billed / Trade Debtors • Support monthly closing and coordinate with Reporting team to ensure necessary journals are made on Services Billed & Trade Debtors • Ensure proper controls and acceptable risk levels within invoicing processes. • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators • Implement the Group Compliance Policy, as applicable to this role (if any). • Involved in the Operational Risk assessment of GSC Egypt and ensure that all actions during employment with HSBC would not contribute towards operational risk loss Management of Risk (GHR / FIM requirements) To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply. To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies. Major Challenges • Entity is a new set up and the processes, systems and policies need to be established and refined overtime from a finance operations and billings perspective. • Enhancement of billing process and policies to standardise GR invoicing process • Aging analysis and clearance of long outstanding debts to ensure healthy cash position in GR • Management of outsourced FTE in HDPI – GFO / SMO • Liaison with BPs for the delays and managing their expectations. Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority) • GSMs and Functional Instruction Manuals – Finance • Accounting Standards & IFRS • Procedures and instructions issued by GHQ FIN • Local /International laws and regulations • Standard operating procedures and policies of GSC Egypt • Commercial Terms • MSAs and PLAs with Business Partners • Egypt Tax and UK VAT practices • AVP Finance and Financial Controller of GSC Egypt Role Dimensions • Annual Services Billed of > USD 5 million - USD 20 million (5 years forecast) • Trade Debtors management of > USD1 million – USD3 million (5 years forecast) |
RequirementsRequirements• Degree or Professional Accountant with >3 total years experience in Finance Operations and Reporting from a reputed company and/or audit/consulting environment • Commendable analytical skills • Reasonable financial modeling skills • Adequate knowledge of Accounting Standards and accounting principles • Team work, strong communications and presentation skills • Knowledge in systems, processes and policies/procedures is an added advantage |
