Job Description
Preparation, review and perfection of corporate facility documentation and security documentation, to ensure full compliance with the Bank's internal credit and legal policies, procedures and guidelines applicable to documentation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

* Examine terms and conditions of approved Business Credit Applications (BCA) to ensure that these are in full compliance with the Bank's internal credit and legal policies, procedures and guidelines prior to disbursal of approved facility limits

* Prepare Banking Facilities Letters (BFL) and related security documentation ensuring that all terms and conditions stipulated by the business, Credit, WB Legal and other relevant stakeholders are incorporated therein.

* Review documentation prepared by approved external counsel to ensure approved Credit and legal terms and conditions are properly replicated in facility documentation.

* Scrutinize security and collateral documentation executed by customers for acceptability and enforceability as per internal requirements prevailing from time to time. To ensure adequate protection is afforded to the Bank in the event of a need to enforce such documentation.

* Review corporate constitutional documentation (for example Memorandum and Articles of Association), to ensure that corporate capacity & authority exists in relation to borrowers business and is in line with their Constitution.

* Advice discrepancies indentified in documentation to Relationship Managers in a timely manner.

* Maintain Collateral Management System (CMS) to record details of all security documents and Current Market Values of Bank's Collaterals.

* Prepare Security Compliance Certificates (SCC) and Documentation Deferral Notes (DDN), after ensuring complete adherence to approval terms, Departmental Operating Instructions (DOIs) and Bank's Guiding Policies.

* Prompt turnaround and consistent approach in all activities in line with agreed Service Level standards

* Develop, maintain and enhance working relationships with key stakeholders including Client Coverage Relationship Managers, Wholesale Bank Legal and Credit

* Deliver services to stakeholders within the established service standard times.

* Provide clear and timely response to both internal and external stakeholder enquiries.

* Record and maintain daily MIS data pertaining to BAU activities performed in order to monitor adherence to SLA standards.

* Ensure the Bank's operational risk framework including Key Control Standards are complied with at all times.

* Ensure that Productivity MIS is updated accurately and immediately for all aspects of work performed in the Unit.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
* Degree / Diploma holder, strong relevant experience

* Core knowledge of Banking and Financial Services in a corporate context.

* Previous experience in corporate and legal documentation in the MENA region preferred

* Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast moving and demanding environment whilst maintaining high quality work using good analytical skills and meticulous excellent attention to detail

* Strong team player with excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with and develop close working relationships with the other stakeholders in the process

* Excellent command of English with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Arabic in a legal context preferred
