Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Assist the Director of Procurement, Development to plan, organize and direct all processes of procurement for FF&E, OS&E and any other categories as required for the Royal Atlantis project to ensure a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with Atlantis The Palm standards, policy & procedures in order to maximize efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness of the purchasing function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement procurement strategy and policies: Implement & enforce all the operating polices & procedures and ensure smooth functioning of the department. Assist the Director of Procurement in developing and implementing purchasing activities.
- Plan, implement & enforce control procedures: To minimize risk involved in the day to day activities and ensure products reach at the right time & through the right source.
- Vendor Development & Relationship Management: Create successful alliance with the suppliers and build strong business relationships with them. Ensure supplier compliance on Product quality, Health & Safety, legal as well as all other issues as per guidelines and direction from local government authorities.
- Maintain Internal Customer Relationship: Seeking feedback from the end users to ensure goods procured are as per hotel quality & standards and disseminating all the relevant information from the suppliers to help in the decision making towards choosing a particular vendor.
- To coordinate & obtain Product Purchase Specification from stake holders in order to choose the right source and product.
- Budgetary Controls: Analysis & track Allocated Budget vs Committed Cost specifically in areas of CAPEX, FF&E, OS& E, and other areas as may be required.
- Contributes to Contract Management & Price Negotiation to improve on companys profitability.
- Periodically conduct Market Research & Survey to compare & evaluate the best options available
- Any Other tasks: as directed by the VP Global Procurement or Director, Procurement

Requirements

- Bachelors degree
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must have leadership qualities.
- Excellent research skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think creatively and interact at all levels of the organization.
- Technical understanding of business processes.
- Must have a previous experience in job required.
- Individual must possess a strong background in business/financial analysis.
- The position requires managing demanding deadlines.
- Extensive experience working in Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
