Assistant Manager - Financial Advisory Services

Job description / Role

Assists in Planning, directing and coordinating all activities relating to financial advisory services in the areas of Investment placement and company listing, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and public offerings.

Main responsibilities:

STRATEGIC
- Assist the Manager Financial Advisory Services in developing strategy, annual business plans, and budgets, policies and procedures of the Corporate Financial Advisory Services department to support company overall business strategy.
- Assist in developing company research approach, tools, techniques and database to best identify income generating opportunities in defined market segments and service offerings.

OPERATIONAL
- Assist divisional Manager in client meetings and workshops.
- Assist divisional Manager to improve client relations.

Company Listing and Restructuring:
- Monitor listing and restructuring activities.
- Direct the analysts to help clients identify their gaps to enable them to get listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange / Other Exchange Houses.
- Work with regulatory authorities throughout the listing process for clients.
- Oversee preparation of engagement letters for entering agreements with clients for Financial Advisory. Obtain necessary information to scope the project, prepare draft proposals, budgets and time schedule

Investment Placement:
- Monitor Investment placement activities.
- Direct the analysts to lookup opportunities for investment placement.
- Prepare investment placement contracts.

Mergers and Acquisitions
- Valuation of mergers and acquisitions
- Work with regulatory authorities throughout the listing process for clients.
- Prepare engagement letters for entering agreements with clients for Financial Advisory. Obtain necessary information to scope the project; prepare draft proposals, budgets and time schedule.

Capital Raising
- Raising Capital through private placements of equity, initial public offerings (IPO's), secondary offerings, underwriting of an issue, issue management, and other related financial advisory services.
- Work with regulatory authorities throughout the listing process for clients.
- Prepare engagement letters for entering agreements with clients for Financial Advisory. Obtain necessary information to scope the project; prepare draft proposals, budgets and time schedule

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Assists in Defining job roles, allocating work to subordinates, and approving staff training needs, bonuses/ incentives, leave and overtime to ensure the efficiency of the group.
- Assists in Monitoring performance of Analysts and guiding them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback.
- Assists in establishing key performance indicators (KPls) derived from divisional strategy.

Reporting to: Deputy Manager - Financial Advisory Services
Duration: Permanent
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday From 08:00 to 15:00
Probation: 100 Working days

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- CFA (An Asset).
- At least 6 years of experience in an investment company at a similar domain.
