Job description / Role
An exciting opportunity with an established leading Dry Docks Facilities based in UAE.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
- Assist dept Manager for effective and efficient operation of the Department.
- Planning and ensure productivity targets to meet.
- Control of department budget
- Liaising with customer representative to satisfy their needs
- Implement and review the department processes for continual improvement.
- Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department
- Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
Requirements
- Degree in Naval Architecture / Mechanical or Marine Engineering with 10 years minimum relevant experience.
- Should be NACE / FROSIO / SSPC Certified.
- Sound knowledge and experience blasting and painting essential.
- Team worker with communication and negotiation skills.
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft products would be an asset.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Frosio Certified will be an added advantage.
