Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a part of the Oman team, you will work on a portfolio of prestigious clients, to develop an understanding of their business processes and their supporting systems. Based on that, you then evaluate the effectiveness of your client’s internal controls and management processes, highlighting areas for improvement where possible. You will advise clients on a variety of control issues, linking technical security matters relating to the IT infrastructure and the related management processes back to their business objectives. We have clients across all industry sectors in Oman.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Director of our Systems and Process Assurance Practice (SPA), the SPA Assistant Manager’s responsibilities will include:
• Developing work plans and project approaches in an IT audit context and/or IT consulting context
• Assisting the assurance audit teams with risk assessments, planning and reviews of information systems
• Assisting in conveying solutions to our client's complex business problems through the use of written reports and presentations

Requirements

• The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and have three to five years relevant external and/or internal IT audit experience, CA/CPA/ACA and/or CISA is preferred.
• They will have experience with performing IT general controls reviews, as well as business process and application control reviews.
• Experience using SAS and/or ACL working knowledge and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance services and risk assessments would be an advantage.
• They will possess computer skills in an audit setting, and be highly organized, dedicated, and self motivated, accept responsibility with enthusiasm and have excellent proven communication, interpersonal, time management and report writing skills.
