Assistant Manager / Manager - Forensic Data Analytics - Dubai

As an Assistant Manager or Manager in our team you could be part of delivering projects such as searching for evidence of fraud and abuse within a companys finance system, or looking for hidden patterns within the global payments of a bank accused of money laundering. These are just some of the challenges youll face when working in one of the largest dedicated forensic technology practices in the world.

This position is based in Dubai, however candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at client site from Sunday to Thursday.

Much of our work centres on the analysis of large volumes of electronic data. And because we operate in an environment where speed of response is often critical to our clients, we are constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies.

Your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- In-depth quantitative analysis and summarisation of complex transactional data
- Assist senior management in organising, developing and motivating a team of Consultants and Senior Consultants delivering data analytics projects;
- Managing the progress of projects within defined budgets and timelines and communicate with project managers;
- Coach/ guide team members in handling technical problems;
- Assist senior members of the team in project scoping and cost estimates;
- Consulting with clients on business issues, often explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical people;
- Build relationships with clients and senior members of the team;
- Drafting reports and presentations to explain our findings to clients;
- Researching new products, tools and techniques to assist with streamlining internal processes and methods of presenting results to clients.

Requirements

- Minimum of Graduation/ Post Graduation in a technical or analytical based subject (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics);
- Demonstrable strong data analysis experience using either SQL or SAS/ R to an advanced level in a work environment;
- Demonstrable experience of using a statistical software package, with an understanding of common data quality problems;
- Demonstrable experience of identifying data requirements, ETL process, data cleansing, manipulation, clustering and text mining techniques;
- Extraction and analysis of ERP data from vendors such (e.g. SAP, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, FOCUS);
- Ability to handle large volumes of complex data sets;
- Software development life cycle and methodologies;
- Solid understanding of programming languages/ complex scripts;
- Working experience of Business Intelligence and Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau/ Qlik View or any other similar tools;
- Demonstrate Forensic thought process while designing data analysis steps
- An understanding of basic accounting principles.

Desirable:
- The ability to come up with creative solutions to complex problems;
- Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude;
- Experience in (Object Oriented) design and development of tools/solutions using VBA/ C#/.Net
- Predictive analytics and/ or pattern detection
- The ability to manage time, priorities tasks and work under tight deadlines;
- Concise and clear communication when presenting and explaining results and findings;
- Arabic speakers are preferred (spoken and ability to read/write Arabic)
- A strong desire to learn and willingness to share knowledge.
