The RoleThe RoleOur client is one of the Gulfs leading investment banks. Based in Bahrain with offices and investments world-wide this leading bank is over 25 years old and experiencing unprecedented growth. Their holdings include retail banks and insurance companies to name a few. Objectives of the Job: • Assist in preparing audit plans for the Bank and its subsidiaries and associates • Assist Manager/Head of Internal Audit in planning and execution of audit assignments • Carryout audit field work independently with minimum supervision • Assist in arranging and conducting exit meetings with the auditees. • Maintain cordial relationship with the senior management and all other officials of the Bank. • Produce concise Audit Reports with reference to the relevant supporting documents. • Assist the Group Chief Internal Auditor/Head of Internal Audit in performing Group Audit assignments as and when required. |
RequirementsRequirementsCandidate Profile (including skills, competencies and qualifications: A member of a professional accounting body [e.g. a Chartered Accountant (CA) from a reputable Institute, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Associate of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), Certified Internal Auditor] A graduate degree in Finance or equivalent and at least 6 years of professional experience with reputable international banks, finance investment institutions or professional audit firms as Internal or External Auditor. Further, possesses • Adequate knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), AAOIFI, Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) regulations. • Reasonable understanding of Islamic Banking • Excellent communication and Report writing skills in English • Continuous professional education and training. |
