OnStar is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors and is the global leading provider of connected safety, security and mobility solutions and advanced information technology. With more than 6 million subscribers in the U.S., Canada and China, OnStar is available on more than 45 of our 2012 model year vehicles. OnStar’s key services include: Automatic Crash Response, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Remote Door Unlock, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics and Hands-Free Calling. OnStar is starting-up in the Middle East and is currently looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager.

The Assistant Marketing Manager position is responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager in developing the product marketing strategies and executing marketing launch and sustain plans.

The main objectives of the position include building brand awareness and educating the customer base (both new customers and prospects) of the product services offered, building brand equity, and customer subscriber retention.

This position requires frequent interaction with OnStar US so cross-cultural understanding and an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships are vital traits.

Developing and executing effective marketing & communications strategies.

Achieving re-subscription through development and execution of effective marketing, communication and SRM strategies, employing the help of the GM sales teams and dealers.

The role oversees a diverse portfolio of services, so the candidate needs to have a strong grasp of marketing principles that can be applied to create strong brand equity for OnStar across the GCC. Juggling many different priorities and activities is inherent to this job.

The key will be to successfully build strong awareness towards the OnStar brand and ensuring effective education of the various services OnStar offers.

Support the development of and execute communication, PR, SRM (customer lifecycle and customer communications) plans, strategies and tactics; website launch and maintenance; lead on social media efforts, as well as playing admin role.

Requirements

Knowledge:
Minimum 3 years marketing experience; fluent in Arabic and English; experience in automotive and/or automotive aftersales an asset; passion for automotive and technology an asset

Skills:
Very strong presentation skills; analytical skills; strong multi-tasker; strong negotiating skills; leadership qualities; proficiency with common computer applications; proficient in social media

Experience/Education:
Education: Bachelor degree required
