Assistant Procurement Manager

Job description / Role

Our client a leading industrial trading company is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their growing business in Dubai.

Reporting to the Procurement Director the Assistant Managers responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Assisting the line manager in Procurement and Inventory related job activities.
Responsible for efficient purchasing of inventory (both import and local), supplies and capital equipment for the company.
Receives purchase requisitions and verifies for accuracy and authorization(s). Sources new vendors when necessary.
Prepare and issues purchase orders; determines and negotiates prices, delivery and credit terms; buys according to established company policies and procedures; maintains accurate purchasing records.
Responsible for evaluating, assessing and selecting vendors based on capabilities, performance and consistent quality assurance.
Evaluates inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relationship to company's cost of capital.
Prepares monthly/weekly reports and reviews forecast and movement and further purchasing commitments with Management of the Company.

Requirements

The successful candidate should posses the following skills and attributes:

Planning, prioritizing and time management
Leadership and motivation of individual team members (when applicable)
Minimum of Degree level qualification
Minimum of 4+ years in related industry
Exceptional IT skills
