Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Core Responsibilities:

Maintain a variety of purchase agreements with vendors of travel, accommodation, IT consumables and other specialty needs.
Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
Direct and coordinate activities of staff engaged in buying materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
Manage all logistical and shipment related activities for both domestic and international procurements.
Maintain a variety of records for merchandise ordered and received.
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
Resolve vendor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
Ensure contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
Conduct continuous research to locate new potential suppliers and stay abreast of new products and market trends.
Plan, monitor, coordinate and evaluate company's purchasing activities and expenses as specified by the Manager.

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelors degree or equivalent technical degree in related field with a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience.
Proficiency in Oracle (ERP).
CIPS Certificate will be a Preference.
Experience dealing with hospitality & construction related procurements is added value.
