Job description / Role
Attend all major meetings and follow-up on action items.
Participate in contract administration.
Obtain Government approvals.
Coordinate handing-over schedules.
Coordinate close-out report.
Track status of project from cradle to grave with respect to approvals, coordination, etc.
Report back as necessary to the Resident Engineer.
Prepare progress reports.
Coordinate client requests.
Supervise concept development of energy use and conservation in infrastructure development.
Supervise preparation of purchase specifications
Manage contracted MEP engineers in collaboration with project management consultants in order to monitor project work and progress
Manage site and technical MEP issues
Evaluate and approve MEP materials submittal.
Updates the Head of Engineering on the project developments of the external engineers and architects.
Deputies for Resident Engineer.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
10-12 years relevant site supervision experience of infrastructure works (e.g. roads, utilities, tunnels etc.)
At least 4 years relevant experience in the capacity of Assistant Resident Engineer in Middle East.
