Construction Services Our talented experts are dedicated to managing the complexity inherent in construction projects, catering to each client's unique needs. We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner's representation to our clients around the globe.

The Assistant Resident Engineer is responsible for performing all the administrative and operational functions necessary for the day to day operation of the project. In the absence of the Resident Engineer, the Assistant will assume his duties.

Monitor the progress of the submittal review in coordination with the Core Team, and respond to contractors as required.
Supervise and remain vigilant regarding all aspects of the construction activities. Respond with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision to provide quality assurance in accordance with Contract Documents.
Coordinate the construction work with the local authorities and contractor. Observe the contractor and site Health and Safety procedures. Issue instructions as necessary to correct safety violations.
Assist the RE and QS team if required in negotiations with the contractor regarding the value of claims or changes in schedule.
Review the contractor's progress at all times. Monitor the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site and the contractor's manpower and equipment.
Attend weekly, monthly and other progress meetings held at the site as required by the RE. Identify constraints and recommend corrective measures.
Ensure the correctness and completeness of as-built drawings and final inspection. Review the adequacy and accuracy of the punch lists. Monitor the final completion of the work. Assist in the handover of the completed facilities.
Review of Inspectors Daily Reports and Preparation of Engineer's Daily Diary, and general oversight of Inspector's daily activities including works assignments, on-site performance and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor's operations.
Review of Contractor's inspection, surveying and testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
Review and Approval of the Contractor's Shop Drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
Review and Approval of the Contractor's proposed materials and method statements as well as the Safety plans.
Coordination with Contractor's supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
Monitoring conformance with the Contractor's schedule.
Continuous Inspections and consultation with the RE including the preparation of written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Min 10 years demonstrable experience in the design and all aspects of supervision and project administration of the electrical works related to large-scale projects within Middle East/ UAE in the consulting industry desirable preferred.
