The RoleThe RolePrinciple Activities The Assistant Resident Engineer (Utilities) will: Report to the Senior Resident Engineer and be assisted by the utilities inspector. Have regular meetings with the contractor’s utilities staff to ensure all the necessary action is being taken to properly coordinate the various utility diversions with the utility authorities to ensure there are no undue delays to the project. Work closely with the Planning Engineer to ensure diversions are planned and carried out in a timely manner. Liaise with the safety officer over safety issues with particular respect to working close to existing utilities. RequirementsRequirementsThe Assistant Resident Engineer shall be: Qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University. Able to demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years post graduate experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of Utilities in major highway projects |
