The RoleThe RoleInternational insurance and reinsurance company looking for an Assistant Underwriter - Marine & Casualty for its HQ offices in the Gulf. Responsibilities: Assist the underwriter in the evaluation, underwriting and rating process. Provide efficient customer services to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Establish and maintain effective working relations with internal / external parties in order to generate business and profitability. Perform detailed analysis and quality check to assist in the underwriting decisions and recommendations. Review policy detail sheets, original slips, policy wordings, endorsements and approved terms. Monitor the expiration and renewal list of all underwriting files. RequirementsRequirementsRequirements: Candidate should not exceed the age of 35 years. Holder of a Bachelor’s degree. Professional qualifications in insurance such as ACII or equivalent or progress towards that would be preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in underwriting in an insurance or reinsurance company out of which at least 2 years should have been in Marine and / or Casualty portfolio. Experience gained in re-insurance company would be preferable. Should have good written and verbal English communications skills. Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
