JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive corporate communications strategies, Media & Public Relations plans for key assigned areas throughout CCAD.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Corporate Communications:

- Directs the implementation of corporate communications tactics
- Develops and evaluates corporate communications strategies
- Serves as a project manager for selecting corporate communications initiatives within assigned areas
- Monitors, researches and analyzes political, legal and regulatory elements that might influence CCAD’s corporate communications efforts
- Recognizes the need for research, manage the implementation and apply the results to the planning process to develop corporate communications strategies
- Conducts costing and pricing analysis for existing and proposed services
- Interfaces with appropriate departments throughout CCAD to obtain strategic information critical to corporate communications tactics
- Provides information to CCAD departments and divisions regarding updates to corporate communications tactics
- Participates in the assessment and development of proposed new services,
programs and product lines that evolve from market research analysis
- Monitors the effectiveness of corporate communications tactics through tracking patient visits, corporate communications and financial reports

2) Media & Public Relations:

- Develops communications designed to position CCAD in its communities through the Media & Public Relations
- Develops, writes and researches press materials; news releases, Media & Public Relations alerts, advisories, pitches, pitch letters and press kits for local, national and international media
- Manages and maintains patient / story database for assigned areas
- Assists in Media & Public Relations training for physicians and other employees in preparation for interviews
- Performs research for articles, releases, scripts, columns and Media & Public Relations tips for distribution to Media & Public Relations
- Interviews CCAD physicians and employees to obtain information for Media & Public Relations opportunities
- Collects relevant information and independently writes and edits press releases and articles
- Follows up with Media & Public Relations regarding pending releases as assigned
- Develops daily and long-term content for breaking news, daily news and trends for assigned areas
- Works collaboratively with the Manager, Corporate Communications to coordinate across broadcast and print Media & Public Relations
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience in corporate communications, media relations, public relations and/or marketing is required
- Good understanding and / or prior experience with pitching or influencing national media outlets is required.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and write in English is required
- Ability to speak and write in both English and
Arabic is preferred
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field, is required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field, is preferred
