New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is currently seeking an Associate Director, Emirati Talent Management to lead Emiratization programs and strategy.

The position will be responsible for developing and implementing Emirati talent management programs and initiatives including talent attraction, development and retention, to support NYUAD’s goals in the area of Emiratization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work in collaboration with the Associate Director of Staffing to develop and implement Emirati talent attraction initiatives and strategies
* Drive recruitment of Emirati focused positions and Graduate Program Associates through managing the end-to-end recruitment process
* Work with the staffing team to collaborate on talent attraction opportunities for Emirati nationals
* Pursue opportunistic hiring opportunities to pro-actively attract qualified Emirati candidates that align with NYUAD’s strategic, immediate and long-term business needs through various initiatives such as collaboration with search firms, online candidate databases, job postings, collaboration with the local universities, participation in job fairs, implementation of an employee referral program etc.
* Review Emirati candidate pool for all ongoing positions and active searches and identify qualified candidates for those positions and work with the staffing team to attract and hire qualified candidates
* Work with Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council to pursue collaborative opportunities such as Emirati candidate attraction, development and compliance and promote a healthy relationship
* Drive full-cycle end-to-end Emirati internship programs including campus recruitment, placement and ensuring an enriched learning experience
* Maintain relationships with internship alumni to attract candidates for full-time roles
Plan and facilitate placement of full-time roles, for currently employed Graduate Program Associates
*Work with hiring departments and finance to integrate current and future business needs, the career aspirations of candidates and fiscal plans of NYUAD
* Work with Community Outreach team to create and leverage networking opportunities for talent attraction and to promote NYUAD brand with a goal to generate a flow of candidate referral or applicant pool
* Collaborate with related NYUAD programs such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Scholars Program (SMSP) to leverage networking opportunities with current/past graduates in an effort to attract them into career opportunities at NYUAD
In conjunction with the Associate Director of Learning & Development, develop, implement and manage mentorship programs for Emirati talent.
* Provide high level support to Emiratis ensuring they are paired with a suitable mentor and ensure effective management of the program
Monitor and enhance the retention of Emirati talent through engaging in various initiatives, such as on-going support and communication with managers and staff etc.
* Support the Employee Relations team in resolving any conflicts, addressing any cultural alignment needs, resolving employee-relations issues and performance issues etc.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
* Master's degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related area would be highly desirable
* 8 years' professional HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in national talent development
* Experience in designing and implementing national talent management strategies with regards to attraction and retention Emirati talent
* Proven results in managing high-quality, high-volume Emirati talent recruitment in growth environment, preferably from higher education, or related sector
* Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of sourcing channels and contacts including latest sourcing trends and networking techniques such as * *LinkedIn, behavioral and competency based interviewing including ability to educate hiring managers in these skills
* Proven success in developing and implementing national talent development strategies and tactics
* Demonstrated success in working in evolving, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
* Proven negotiation, planning, project management and problem solving skills
* Customer focused and process oriented
* Superior interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
* Excellent written skills including ability to create and edit contract documentation in conjunction with Legal department
* Hands-on and an ability to work independently as well as well as member or leader of the team
* Arabic language and familiarity with local culture and norms
