Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Up to AED 45,000 per month,

As the Associate Director-Valuations you will be responsible for supporting the Head of MENA Valuations team in growing the valuation business in MENA, overseeing a growing multi-national team. It is expected that the Associate Director will play a hands on role in managing and supervising valuation instructions, reviewing assignments and reports prepared by the team and leading the development of new business initiatives.

Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Engaged in sourcing and providing advisory services in relation to valuation of the business, buy and sell side mandates, debt restructuring and valuation of financial reporting purposes
- Secure, resource and execute client assignments to international professional standards, often on short timescales and often requiring the direct involvement and supervision of the Head of Valuations and ensure at all times that cooperation prevails between the various offices in the interests of clients
- Manage the preparation and delivery of proposals, in conjunction with inputs from other service lines where required
- Review and assume responsibility for all major valuation outputs
- Establish and maintain risk management and quality assurance processes and procedures appropriate to the valuation business, including overseeing adherence to professional standards
- Participate in review, analysis and development of strategies for new business opportunities
- Support the management team and fellow colleagues in client relationship and communications matters

Requirements

- An undergraduate degree in finance from an accredited college/university
- Experience or demonstrated interest in the pricing or valuation of fixed income instruments and/or complex assets/liabilities
- Advanced finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently
- Have a strong work ethic, multitasking, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills
- BV, ASA, or an equivalent valuations designation; Considered an asset: Graduate diploma (MBA or MSc finance) or any other professional designation (CPA, CA, CFA, etc.);
- The often urgent nature of the assignments and need to provide prompt client service requires that the candidate must be available to work longer hours, as needed;
- Excellent English language communication skills
