Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading private, non-profit organization that serves the people of Qatar by supporting and operating programs within the education, science and research.

Committed to supporting an innovative and open society that aims to develop social and economic prosperity for all within a knowledge-based economy.

The Associate General Counsel will work under Deputy General Counsel and as team leader as a primary source of legal information for the Presidents office and ensure provision of consistency advice as requested.

Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, draft and review Educational Agreements in relation to branch campuses of Major Universities.
- Draft, review and assist in negotiating contracts to serve the best interests of the company.
- Responsible for all educational programs and administrative subject areas.
- Supervise the Paralegal and guide other junior legal personnel to ensure effective support for the Legal Department.
- Responsible for negotiations and on-going interactions discussing and negotiating terms of Education Agreements.
- Advise on wide range of collaborative Agreements with for-profit and non-profit organizations for multi-year educational as well as research programs.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Law.
- 8 to 12 years experience dealing with Higher Education, Nonprofit and Foundations dealing with Education and Research matters.
- Knowledge of Qatari and International Law.
- Excellent communication written and oral skills in both English and Arabic.
