Job description / Role
Morgan McKinley is working on behalf of a manufacturer and distributor of consumer products who are seeking an Associate Manager of Procurement. This role is reporting the the Procurement Manager and will have a strong technical background with a proven track record in indirect sourcing and negotiation.
Role
The Associate Procurement Manager must have a strong background with Indirect Procurement and Capital Expenditures (CAPEX). Candidates will have experience handling the procurement of plant machinery and capital goods. Duties will include stakeholder management and MRO operations with experience in developing, implementing and simplifying the procurement process.
Requirements
Essential
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree, MBA preferred
4 - 5 years of Procurement experience; 3 - 4 years of Indirect Procurement exposure
Stakeholder management; Strong ability to communicate to influence key stakeholders
Experience handling procurement of machinery and capital goods
Skills
Supervision of personnel, including defining tasks, making work assignments, and evaluating performance
Excellent negotiation and strategic sourcing skills
Process orientated and a team player
Excellent communication skills
