A Senior Associate for audit services assists in the delivery of assurance services to local and multinational clients seeking creative and cost-effective solutions to their complex business problems.

They are trained to specialize in industries such as technology, information, communications and entertainment, consumer and industrial products and services. The Senior Associate works as part of a project or engagement team and reports to the concerned Engagement Manager and Engagement Leader.

Responsibilities of the Senior Associate include, but are not limited to:

* Assigning responsibilities to team members taking into consideration development needs by engaging team members in setting the expectations and measurable goals aligned to client, firm and personal success.
* Participate with the partner and the manager in developing the audit strategy and audit plan and describe the nature, timing and extent of audit procedures to be performed by engagement team members in order to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence to reduce audit risk to an acceptable level.
* Planning for active and ongoing supervision and review of work done and documentation at the appropriate level throughout the audit engagement.
* Taking the main day-to-day responsibility for executing the audit strategy and more detailed audit plan and controlling the nature and extent of supervision and review of the quality of fieldwork and its documentation.
* Considers whether there are any significant issues which need to be raised and brought up to the attention of the engagement manager on a timely basis throughout the course of the audit.
* Raises audit findings with management on an ongoing basis.
* Understands the client's expectations and responds to their requests in an effort to exceed those expectations.
* Provides regular constructive feedback on performance to team members and works with them to achieve their development goals in order to foster an integrated coaching culture during the engagement.

Requirements

The Senior Associate should be holding a Bachelor's degree in accounting from a reputable university. He/She should hold or be working towards CPA or ACCA certification and this is an essential prerequisite for progression to the next level. He/she needs to have strong oral and written English communication skills, a commitment to exceptional client service, creative problem solving ability and a consultancy mindset.

Prior External Audit experience is necessary, preferably in one of the Big 4. And the person must be available to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
