Employment: Full Time

The Authorities Coordinator will be based in our Doha office and will be responsible for performing all tasks necessary to facilitate the provision/issue of all utility and other approvals and permits applicable to our Projects.

The AC will provide technical support to secure approvals, agreements and/or undertakings with stakeholders including government departments, authorities, regulatory bodies, various agencies and any other third parties.

The AC will be a point of contact for all utility companies and statutory bodies in relation to interfaces and coordination of utility relocations and diversion requirements, ensuring all utility diversion schemes are coordinated and that all interfaces have been addressed. The AC will progressively record the progress of interfacing, coordination and compliance by the use of meeting attendance and recording via minutes of meetings and the like.

Key Responsibilities
- Support KEO's engagement with all stakeholders, including governments, private sector, civil society, technical community.
- Work with regional stakeholders to enhance engagement and participation.
- Monitor, identify and analyse related developments, public policy issues and trends, and impact on strategy in region.
- Draft reports, position papers and communications for internal and external use.
- Understanding and working knowledge of region and its cultural differences and political dynamics.
- Ability to read, write and converse in both English and Arabic at a level sufficient to conduct job-related business transactions.
- Knowledge of the Doha Governmental structure and departments.
- Strong project management skills, ability to effectively manage multiple overlapping tasks.
- Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, policies and positions, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work in regionally distributed organisation.

Requirements

- Prior Doha experience strongly preferred.
- 4+ years working in a regional, business and/or multi-stakeholder environment and demonstrated experience in the regional arena.
- A degree in an engineering or a construction discipline, and/or law, international business qualification is required.

Good command of both written and spoken Arabic is a prerequisite for this role.
