Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Authorities Liaison Coordinator will have the responsibility to liaise with relevant government authorities on behalf of the project management team, working on a large-scale port program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The core responsibility of the role would be to facilitate the construction of the project by ensuring all approvals, permits and NOCs are obtained.

Responsibilities:
- Coordination and liaising with all relevant government authorities in regards to the program
- Develop an authority and approvals strategy to ensure all approval requirements are included in the schedule
- Execute and monitor the approvals/permits folders to ensure all required approvals are done in a timely manner; updated when necessary
- Develop relationships and hold meetings with key users to ensure all necessary permits are in place
- Support the project management and delivery team to resolve any issues that may arise
- Develop processes and strategies to ensure all permits are valid for all construction activities

Requirements

- Degree qualified; preferably in Civil Engineering
- Candidate must be fluent in Arabic and English
- Minimum 7 years experience with proven experience in liaising with government authorities in the region (ideally in KSA)
- Willing to travel to various cities in KSA, spread across the Eastern and Western provinces
- Overseeing of, and collaboration with, all project management teams
- Knowledge of recognised project control principles (procurement, earned value measurement, risk management, contract admin and claims resolution, change control)
- Knowledge of authorities processes and procedures
