Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking to recruit an experienced Manager to oversee our AutoEquip team within Al Futtaim Auto Centres (ALAC). The main purpose of the role is to provide full back-up support to all ALAC customers and have an established network of Service, Equipment & Parts Centres throughout the UAE.

The main responsibilities of the role are to achieve and exceed customer satisfaction alongside achieving and exceeding revenue and gross margin budgets and to closely liaise with visiting Principals.

Requirements

- Graduate Mechanical / Automobile Engineer, with 8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in managing a workshop (industrial equipment / earth moving equipment).
- Significant mechanical engineering experience
- Must understand the concept of "good customer service" as this is the key deliverable in the workshops
- Customer Orientated and focused on deliverables
- Good planning skills (workshop planning & customer call planning)
- A leader with a Strategic, analytical approach to business
- Understand the ethos of skilled workshop technicians & service staff
- General understanding of mechanical components of a machine
- Able to communicate and present in both verbal and written English
- Strong planning and Organisation skills
- Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to implement change and new initiatives
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, and computer aided diagnostics. Sap awareness is an added advantage
- Ability to be able to motivate and coach direct reports (service team / technicians / Sales team)
- Will be able to recommend diverse solutions to customer's enabling the sale of value added workshop services (Maintenance & Repair Contracts, Inspection Programs)
- Strategy Development awareness
- Must be able to read and understand financial reports, prepare workshop budgets and quotations
