The RoleThe RoleWe are looking to recruit a instrument automation engineer who has experience within the oil and gas, power generation, petrochemical and/or chemical industry. You will be required to:- -Provide technical leadership to technician groups and foster effective teamwork in completing technical activities. -Provide discipline specialist input into multi-discipline Engineering projects, both small and large, and provide input into HAZOP and Hazard review processes -Develop and implement minor plant modifications for offshore and onshore sites in line with Facilities Change procedure -Actively participate in the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering team to ensure that the production and maintenance systems are integrated and are operating effectively in accordance with the Production Unit Business Plan and are operating safely and efficiently in accordance with management systems. Ensure continuous improvement of technical and business systems -Foster effective teamwork in order to motivate staff and help establish a work environment / climate, work systems and practices that maximise opportunities for staff to perform well, achieve job satisfaction and contribute effectively to the Corporation. This includes ensuring all recruitment, training and performance assessments are in place and being carried out effectively. |
RequirementsRequirementsWe are looking to recruit a instrument automation engineer who has experience within the oil and gas, power generation, petrochemical and`or chemical industry -Extensive design, construction, commissioning and operational experience of process control and automation systems, including DCS, PLC and SCADA. -Experience in Oil and Gas, Chemical or other process industry, preferably including offshore experience. -Extensive knowledge and experience of designing, configuring, programming, modifying and commissioning relevant DCS systems (Emerson Provox offshore/Bailey Infi 90 onshore). -Extensive knowledge and experience of designing, configuring, programmng, modifying and commissioning Schneider Modicon range of PLCs and HMI. -Knowledge and experience of Matrikon `Imac` alarm management system. -Knowledge and experience of Tricon TMR PLC systems desirable. -Good general knowledge of configuring, maintaining and fault-finding serial communications protocols and Ethernet networks. -Strong leadership skills. -The ability to work with an interdisciplinary team under minimal supervision. -Strong communication and influencing skills. -A keen interest in learning about new technologies and products. -A willingness to travel to offshore installations, sometimes at short notice. |
