Job description / Role
1.Create 3d BIM models (Structural) to a high level of accuracy based upon sketches from the Engineer or drawings supplied by other trades
2.Develop plans, sections, elevations and details cut from a Revit model for large scale projects
3.Clearly annotate, dimension and detail production drawings in conformance with WSP CAD standards and practices
4.Setup and manage large sheet sets including revisions and markups for each project
5.Plot drawings to PDF, dwg or to paper plots from large projects
6. Use advanced tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines in a BIM environment
Requirements
1.Minimum 8 years experience in drafting/detailing with AutoCAD in the AEC industry
2.2+ years experience with Revit Structure, Architecture (Does not require knowledge of all but will have to work in Revit Structures)
3.Experience working with central files and linked models
4.Excellent understanding of 3d geometry and how to model surfaces and solid forms
5.Some knowledge of plotting and drawing output to different digital formats such as PDF and DWF files
6.Thorough understanding of building components to model Revit components intelligently and efficiently and ensure integrity of the Revit model
7.Must be comfortable coordinating with engineers, designers, drafters and other personnel in a team based environment
