Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This position is accountable for the development, implementation and management of the BMC remedy product suite used to support the delivery of Services. This suite consists of, but is not limited to – remedy action request system, ProActive net, ADDM and service impact modeling.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role has accountability for ensuring that the BMC suite is effectively managed to support the business needs.

Responsibilities:
Maintaining the remedy action request system
Gathering and documenting requirements and support the design and implementation of additional BMC products, such as CMDB and ADDM
Perform system analysis and programming activities on application software
Perform implementation and maintenance of complex multiple product modules/subsystems or on lower issues of multiple products to ensure proper functioning of products
Participate in product operational meetings to ensure that design concepts are transferred into the operational phases successfully
Research problems discovered by quality analysts or product support to ensure that appropriate solutions are developed
Responsible for coordinating with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes
Support complex data/media recover ability through system backups and database archive operations
Develop and maintain user documentation, including user manuals, quick references, and training documentation
Diagnosing and repairing problems within the remedy system
Plan, coordinate and direct appropriate level data refresh strategies
Work with technical staff to understand problems with software to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner
Oversee, recommend and implement appropriate level database (SQL) solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance
Installing, updating, and patching remedy server to maintain system integrity

Requirements

Education / Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field
Relevant BMC qualifications

Skills and Experience:
5 or more years of experience working in and supporting a client-server environment
Service delivery background
Worked in an ITIL process environment
Experience working with appropriate systems project teams administration, database administration, and alert and monitoring maintenance
Experience with BMC Remedy
Experience with integration of toolsets, such as Entuity
Experience with CMMI Level 3
Personal competencies
Capability to work with multinational cultures
Ability to work in a team and share best practices
Ability to problem solve
Proven ability to perform independent thought process and workings will be required
High energy
Driven for success
Being able to articulate at a high/detailed level to peers/managers
