Employment: Full Time

My client, one of the leading Hospitality Groups in the UAE is looking for an experienced Banqueting Manager to join the team at their largest exhibition centre. Hosting some incredible events and exhibitions they cater up to more than 8000 guests for some of the most exciting events in the UAE.

The role of Banqueting Manager is very comprehensive and requires an experienced candidate to complete the following responsibilities:
- Experienced in client management, dealing with event planners and also private client events
- Communicating with clients to ensure that invoices are paid on time
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to sell the Exhibition Centres facilities
- Schedule reservations to optimise the venues facilities
- Operate and manage the facilitys profitability
- Plan events thoroughly and efficiently so they run smoothly
- Manage a team of 100 permanent team members, including Supervisors and Head Waiters and also manage up to 300 temporary waiting staff
- Fully brief all team members to ensure that all events/exhibitions run smoothly
- Fully responsible for the setup of the room and the presentation of the event

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in banqueting in luxury hotels/banqueting venues
- Hospitality Management qualifications/F&B related NVQs/HNDs
- Strong leadership skills, ability to manage and motivate a team
- Have the confidence to liaise with other heads of department e.g. Kitchens, Sales and Marketing
- Excellent communication skills
- Arabic Speaker
- A professional attitude to meet organisers, hosts and VIPs
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Works very well under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Experience in organising and hiring entertainment acts and systems
