Bid Controller

Job description / Role

• Oversee and develop Firm Fixed cost estimates
• Create the pricing forms required by the customer, and coordinate distribution of the project costs into pricing forms
• Generate Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROM) estimates to assist Sales during marketing effort
• Leverage on engineering background and cost estimation knowledge to provide system/subsystem estimates for comparison to quotes received, or to use as part of the price proposal when quotes are unavailable
• Ensure all documents are free from errors and professionally represented
• Develop an effective library of information and liaise with other departments to keep it updated
• Write and develop content for tender responses which are bespoke to the target
• Contributes to documents by questioning others against the client objectives
• Applies appropriate solutions to client needs or culture
• Actively looks at ways to over deliver for clients
• Keeps up to date with group business ventures and services, competitors, relationships with customers, clients and suppliers, market evolution
• To manage effectively the internal bid process and control and support completion of all tenders that are sent out
• Minimizes the impact of change on a tender process by building in contingencies
• Demonstrate an open mind by listening to people with different opinions
• Promote a professional image at all times

Requirements

Qualification : Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Finance
Experience : Minimum 5 years in similar position
Knowledge Bidding Process and Market Standards, Engineering, Finance

Skills : Arabic & English Languages
Excellent Social skills
Planning and organizing Skills
Proficient in Job related software/applications
Proficient in MS Office
