Bid Manager

Job description / Role

SSH is a leading regional architecture and engineering design consultancy based in Kuwait with offices throughout the GCCC/MENA region. To support continued growth we require a Technical Bid Manager to join our Commercial team. As a Technical Bid Manager in SSH you will report in to the Practice Director and be responsible for the planning and delivering of bids for new and existing clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Planning and managing the bid from the outset through to closure

Support the tender design process to ensure delivery is on-time and to highest standards

Be able to develop innovative and creative design solutions and specifications

Identifying and resolving issues and managing the bid risks, including the development of contingency plans

Manage and develop relationships with existing and potential clients.

Produce management reports to highlight the progress on each bid

Undertake technical reviews, compliance checks and financial reviews

Making sure the commercial proposal is consistent with the technical solution

Manage bid administration and resources

Mentoring of junior staff on the team

Act as an assistant to the Practice Director in Bid related matters and work load planning.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:
Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering or Construction

Skills:

Efficient time management in order to meet deadlines
Strong organisational skills
Commercially aware
Excellent written and verbal communication
Creative presentation skills
Proficient user of Microsoft Office

Experience:

Proven experience in bid management
Previously led successful high value bids
Team management and project management experience
Experience of working in a multi-discipline environment
Excellent knowledge of the built environment and associated design requirements
