Bid & Proposals Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is a multinational and due to continued growth winning new business and renewing complex service solutions, we are recruiting a Bid & Proposals Manger to manage the proposals and tenders function ensuring that all submissions are compelling to continually secure new clients and retain existing ones. Candidates must have demonstrable experience in successfully writing and leading complex large transactional value bids in a competitive arena

Responsibilities
- Development and management of the bid plan and formal responses to new business and account retention tenders
- Interpreting clients requirements, developing strategies and approvals for bids and proposals submissions
- Managing risk and change to ensure the bids and proposals achieve a win for the organisation
- Meeting with clients to prequalify requirements to ensure that all submissions are compliant
- Project management of tenders and proposals from initial review to drafting submissions and revisions and post submission feedback through to final reporting of the outcome
- Working closely with the Sales, Finance and Operations teams to develop pricing models to meet the clients requirements whilst developing a commercially profitable proposal adhering to internal and external governance documentation
- Management of the internal bid authorization reviews
- Tender analysis and reporting
- Management of supplier and partner relations for bids
- Carrying out market research and analysis on market, industry and competitor activities and trends

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree

- Minimum of 5 years experience in a proposals, bids or commercial tendering role working on complex and large contracts in the UAE or GCC region for government and private clients candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Articulate writing and accurate business writing and editing skills in a sales or commercial environment
- Effective management of bid negotiations
- Ability to interrogate financial models with strong financial acumen
- Effective presentation skills to present to internal and external business forums and stakeholders

Candidate Profile
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills fluency in English is essential
- Stakeholder management with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- UAE driving license
- Must be living in the GCC, preferably in the UAE
