Bilingual Assistant Underwriter

Job description / Role

* Checking reinsurance submission and data review and screening including preparation of submission information, file setup and basic analysis.
* Checking the treaty wordings and exclusions with the guidelines and Retrocession programmes.
* Initial handling of treaty pricing data input and proposal.
* Coordinating and communicating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

* Completion of recognized Insurance qualification (or equivalent in the financial sector).
* Experience working in Insurance / Reinsurance organization.
* Mathematical background preferred, for being part of team developing underwriting tools.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel & Word).
* Knowledge of MS Access is preferred.
* Fluency in speaking Arabic is mandatory.

Technical Skills:
* Primary Insurance Coverage: Basic understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms & conditions and coverage.
* Basic understanding of treaty administration life cycle (new business, renewal, endorsements), including renewal submission, treaty contract, premium & contract bookings etc.
* Basic understanding of Reinsurance terms, conditions and treaty structure.
