Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for a Bilingual Legal Assistant for our Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) office in Dubai. This individual will be responsible for providing legal administrative support to lawyers in order to ensure that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities:
- Write common forms of legal correspondence and help prepare legal documents.
- Assist the lawyers by using their thorough knowledge of how to file legal documents and in some cases, court room procedures.
- Generate a lot of legal content that is used for communication between lawyers and their clients.
- Answer phone calls (internal & external), run errands and coordinate meetings.
- Familiarize themselves with legal terminology.
- Perform typing and transcription of documentation as required by the lawyer.
- Compose and type letters, memos, correspondence and reports.
- Participate in meetings for minutes, amend routine legal documents and correspondence as well as proof read when required.
- Adhere to the Firms policies and procedures.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous experience preferably from a Legal Firm or Legal Department
- Must be able to draft in Arabic and English (as well as translation)
- Working knowledge of research techniques
- Excellent command of English and Arabic language
