Biomedical Technician

Job description / Role

Conduct of periodic preventative maintenance of hospital equipment
Repair of biomedical equipment and accessories
Installation of new biomedical equipment, including user training
Delivery of end user training as appropriate
Maintenance of electronic and manual filing systems
Ensuring stock levels are maintained adequately
Ensuring health and safety standards and policies are adhered to by self, colleagues and sub-contractors
Participation in quality and improvement projects as appropriate

Requirements

Diploma in Biomedical Instrumentation / Engineering
Minimum 2 years work experience in a hospital setting
Progressive & current training background on medical devices
Knowledge & ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair biomedical equipments & systems
Knowledge or technical expertise in telecommunication & office documentation equipment will be an added advantage
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Must be able to work effectively within a team
Proven ability to function effectively under pressure
Knowledge of computer applications
