Job description / Role
One of the largest Turkish groups of companies that have a present in Iraq is currently looking to recruit a Branch Manager for their Logistics / Freight Forwarding Company based in Basra, Iraq. The primary function of the Branch Manager is to lead and manage the existing team in providing custom clearance and transport services to the oil and gas companies.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible in managing about 100 employees of a 60.000 sqm open yard and also 3,000 sqm covered storage.
• Planning and monitoring the movement of 32 flat bed trucks
• Strong Oil Field experience in rig moves and hot shot services to the oil field.
• The ability to sell transportation services
• Generate new business as a result of heavy direct communications with customers
• Influence customers to utilize company's services and provide creative solutions to win business
• Coordinate with operations to provide exceptional service to the customer
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
• At least 5 years experience in similar position.
• Strong experience in logistics within Oil & Gas industry.
• Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc
• Good communications Skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Conversant in English and Arabic.
