The RoleThe RoleUASC is currently looking to recruit a Branch Manager for Dammam to provide leadership and direction to the branch through the implementation of the agency’s business vision, mission and strategy to enable the Agency to be an efficient, profitable and successful business and to achieve the company’s predefined objectives. Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Implement upon approval from the General Manager the overall business strategies and plans, which enable the branch to achieve company objectives. • Plan carryout the appropriate steps/ measure to ensure achievement and maximization of sales/ business targets-volume, revenue, profit, etc. • Assist in the preparation of the branch budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget implementation of operational policies • Manage, control and minimize cost, credit and business risks, etc. • Conduct audit and direct the export/import documentation and ensure an error free process with negligible financial, non-financial and legal impact • Assist in the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of branch activity to deliver a quality, cost-effective service to internal and external customers. • Maintain a thorough awareness of external economic and market conditions and oversee Industry Competitors to allow informed decision-making concerning the branch’s business strategy. • Ensure the effective achievement of the branch’s functional objectives through the leadership of its departments • Setting individual objectives, managing performance, play key role in recruiting developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance. • Create a healthy organizational climate and culture, lead and manage the team so that overall branch performance is maximized |
RequirementsRequirements• University Graduate • Minimum 7 years of experience in shipping preferably in a shipping agency out of which 4 years should be in managerial position in shipping trade with business/ commercial responsibility • Expert knowledge of industry operating standards, policies and procedures. • Well networked within the business community, shipping market, customers, shipping regulations/laws and fully aware of the market and competitors • With strong leadership, analytical and time management skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Good computer skills especially shipping systems, Spread sheet and office packages • Good and effective communication skill-verbal and written in English Only GCC nationals can apply for this position! |
