Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
To proactively deliver brand building activity for principals, develop relevant categories and drive MMI volumes and key targets for the group and its channels.

The job holder is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- To develop, produce and execute annual marketing plans for each principal such that the brand and volume target objectives are achieved within agreed cost parameters.
- To supply monthly financial/ brand reports to principals and to MMI senior management so that they have up to date information on sales performance and progress against marketing plans by agreed deadlines.
- Responsible for understanding and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing activity
- Responsible for routine and ad-hoc brand and category performance to outline key market trends, plus making recommendations to address or exploit issues and opportunities
- Responsible for managing the brand/brand group budget. Need to issue LPOs to the approved suppliers, seeking senior manager approval where necessary, so that all spend is correctly monitored.
- Responsible for briefing, development and internal communication of Brand Growth Levers. To communicate promotional mechanics and objectives to the sales force sufficiently in advance so that effective sell in can be executed.
- To work with the field sales force to ensure that both they and customers fully understand promotional mechanics and logistics.
- To liaise with agencies and other third parties to ensure that promotional and point of purchase materials are produced on time and within budgeted cost.
- To keep the A&P controller, finance, fully informed on spend vs budget and so that variances to plans can be highlighted to management.
- Brand market evaluation
- Research projects where required
- Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager.

Requirements

Essential:
- 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the UAE
- Good working knowledge of on-and off trade business
- Strong Trade Marketing experience
- Effective sales, presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills
- Marketing plan development and execution
- Effective problem solver and decision maker
- Brand cost centre management
- Ability to analyse data and specific market information while recommending business

Desirable:
- Marketing Degree
- International Educated
- FMCG, Spirits, or Tobacco Background
