Brands and Commodities General Manager - Jeddah

An International Food Manufacturing company is seeking to recruit for a Brands and Commodities General Manager. You will be directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This position will be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

This role will have overall responsibility for leading and growing the Brands and Commodities and ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of the Companys strategic goals for this sector, and will be fully accountable for the P & L for Brands and Commodities.
- Provide leadership and support to the Head of Sales and his team to increase brand awareness in our chosen categories, drive sales growth with our existing key accounts, and attain new sales in new and existing markets and geographical areas.
- Provide leadership and support to the Factory Manager and his team to ensure high quality products are manufactured and delivered in a safe, hygienic, efficient manner to our customers, and that we have world class efficiencies, food safety, quality and hygiene standards.

In addition this role will be responsible for developing a supportive team working safety first culture, where skills and performance increase year on year, a talent pool is developed, and employees are engaged.
- This is a senior leadership position and the role holder will be expected to be an example, coach, support, and lead their direct reports and wider teams, and offer input and appropriate challenges to other parts of the business.

ROLE PARAMETERS
Financial Responsibility
The achievement of circa 40 million USD Sales
Revenue budgets for the factory circa 4 million USD
Travel Requirements

This role will be based in Jeddah, but the job holder will be required to travel regularly to including international travel, predominantly within the GCC & Africa.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- Substantial leadership experience gained in a food manufacturing fmcg branded business.
- Proven experience of driving sales growth and brand awareness and achieving stretching targets, preferably in the MENA region.
- Proven abilities and experience of having managed a full P & L.
- Experience of leading and managing large teams, and preferably that involve sales and supply chain teams.
- Previous experience of developing a learning culture, developing managers and improving the organisations resources and capabilities.
- Previous experience of having lived and worked in the ME would be an advantage.
- Professionally qualified with a vocational qualification in marketing, category management, business, finance or food science or engineering.

Be a graduate, preferably in business or managements studies.

- Excellent English language skills.
- The ability to speak Arabic would be an advantage.
