The RoleThe RoleJOB PURPOSE: To perform all activities related to trading of securities within regulatory requirements and meet/exceed targets set by the Head of Brokerage. KEY RESULT AREAS: 1. Trading: Responsible for the purchase or sale of securities, writing orders for stock purchase and sales, recording and verifying stock transactions, accepting and delivering securities, tracking stock price fluctuations, keeping records of daily transactions etc. 2. Quality Management: Provide a consistent, high quality trading service for the business and meet/ exceed the targets. Determine market trends and provide trading plans and strategies to maximise return to the business and its clients. 3. Report Management / Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports summarizing daily transactions and earnings for individual customer accounts on each transaction basis. Prepare and coordinate transfer and delivery of share certificates between companies, departments and customers. Maintain reports on total holdings, interest, brokerage fees and commissions to Head of Broker on a regular basis. 4. Adherence to Law: Ensure that all trading activities are within regulatory requirements. Adhere to internal process and procedures of trading. Verify the identity of each customer before any transaction is made. Record all the transaction information and ensure that frauds or chances of errors are minimized, if not eliminated. 5. Client Relationship: Provide stock analysis using both in-house and out-house professional research resources (i.e. based on knowledge of current political and economic trends that affect securities prices) or from feedback from Research Department. Respond to client queries and provide them with adequate information / stock. Compute total holdings, interest, brokerage fees, commissions, and propose payments to customers. Allocate appropriate payments to customers with the approval of the Head of Brokerage. Ensure that sufficient amount is available in clients account for buying of shares. 6. Marketing Activities: Will assist the Head of the Branch to develop as well as implement short and long term strategies to position the brands of the Company. Will assist in developing marketing database including competitor activities, strengths and weaknesses. Identify and prioritize target market opportunities and potential clients. Provides constructive inputs as appropriate for developing and implementing marketing communications, branding, visual identity and merchandising campaigns. 7. Business Development: Ensures that product revenue and profitability targets are adequately met or exceeded by attracting new clients. Will understand clients requirements and businesses to anticipate their needs through a consultative selling process. Will ensure healthy pipeline and attention to large deals. Will maintain high level of customer contact and facilitate customer service issues. 8. Brand Building: Contributes actively in building and managing a "brand name" through effective marketing campaigns which project and enhance the corporate brand of Al Ramz. Ensures that campaigns and promotions will build a strong pull in the market. |
RequirementsRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Banking Brokers License from DFM/ADX/DIFX. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years experience in stock broking, banking, finances house or equivalent financial organisation COMPETENCIES/SKILLS: Functional 1. Financial and stock market trading business knowledge, good knowledge of derivatives (credit, interest rate, futures, etc.) and exposure to DFM/ADX regulations and compliance. 2.
