Job description / Role

This person reports to Manager Director Finance & Budget
Job Purpose:
Support the Budget Manager in coordinating the work of the Budget and Financial Reporting department in accordance with established University guidelines and time constraints. Undertakes special projects, as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the Budget Manager in coordinating and compiling the annual University budget.
2. Monitor budget variance status of departments and assist the department managers/chairs with their budget reports.
3. Prepare period and multi-year financial projections.
4. Assist budget owners with preparation of budgets and train them, if required.
5. Process budget transfers in adherence with the Universitys budget transfer guidelines
6. Assist in preparing periodic and ad-hoc financial reports using the Cognos Reporting tool.
7. Handle the correspondences with the Government Funding agencies and other concerns.
8. Assist with HR Position control & reporting
9. Assist the functional lead in implementing remaining modules of Banner ERP solution.
10. Perform related duties or undertake other special projects as and when assigned by the Budget manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years related experience.
- Arabic/ English bilingual
Computer Skills:
Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) Banner, Oracle; MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Technical Competencies:
Preferred experience in Banner/ Oracle
